Custom Formulation - How It Works
This is the process from start to finish for Custom Formulation projects. The MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) varies based on the formula, but usually starts at 1000 pieces.

Discovery Call
On the Discover call, the specifications of the formulation are discussed to ensure we are the best fit to meet your needs. This also provides the opportunity to answer any questions you may have.

Review formula or product brief
We will provide you with a formula/product brief form to fill out to ensure we formulate according to your specifications. In some cases, we will request deposit towards the lab fee which is fully applicable to your first order.

Lab development and samples
The lab will order raw materials and formulate your product according to specification. Samples will be provided to you and tweaks will be made if necessary to ensure the product meets all requirements.

Formula approval and price quote
Once the formula is approved, a price quote will be provided for approval. This is typically the point where a deposit is given for product testing and ordering of materials.

Product testing
Depending on the formulation type, the formulation will undergo various product testing to ensure it meets or exceeds all consumer safety requirements.

Packaging sourcing
Simultaneously, we work to source packaging either domestically or internationally to test with the formula to ensure compatability.

First production run
After testing and packaging sourcing is completed, the first production run is scheduled. The timeline is typically 4-6 weeks after all materials have arrived and testing concludes.

QC. packout and shipment
The product undergoes rigorous Quality Control procedures and is assigned an individual lot code number prior to being prepared for final shipment. A final invoice is then issued and the product is ready to head to its final destination.
